Drug Abuse Resistance Education

D.A.R.E.
Drug Abuse Resistance Education -to resist drugs and violence.

Grade 5 completed all the requirements of the D.A.R.E. programm and reviewed all the lessons in D.A.R.E. and were given a final assignment: to write an essay outlining what they had learned in D.A.R.E.
Kids had made a commitment to stay drug free and avoid violence.
The ceremony celebrating their successful completion of the course was held in the mini gymnasium at Deep Cove Elementary School on February 6, 2008.
Thank you to Constable A.(Ravi) Gunasinghe, School Liaison D.A.R.E. Officer and Mme. E. Lebel, classroom teacher.

Thanks to all of you for sending in such delicious food! And thanks to those of you who were able to squeeze a visit/lunch into your busy day! It was great, absolutely yummy! And it looked as though lots of you had a chance to sit and chat with each other! And I really want to thank those of you who helped set up and clean up afterwards - it was a big job and greatly appreciated.
